I think these attempts are outstanding in developing the argument for the need for blended skill set, not just technical, but craft skill too.
I am often asked if folks should pursue accreditation. The reality is that many are working without it. Many believe in acquiring badges above that of experience - which will ultimately lead to a worsening of the industry reputation. Overall I think experience beats qualifications, but qualifications add the legitimacy and credibility that the profession requires.
A future high performance system will require both, because as the stakes go up, the risks do to.
